Students from École Saint-Jacques participated by answering questions from the Insurance Literacy and Me course created by the Insurance Institute of Canada, the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction.
“We all know that insurance knowledge plays a crucial role in financial and personal security. Even for primary school students, having basic knowledge in this area provides good preparation for independence in the future. This competition aimed to facilitate learning of the concepts related to the purchase of a car, the purchase or rental of an apartment or a house and the risks and responsibilities associated with insurance. Basically, the students learned that insurance is part of every financial decision we make! ” shares École Saint-Jacques in a press release.
For this victory, the school received a prize of $500.
