In jargon, we call it a game changer. An idea that changes the rules of the game. This is certainly the case with ChatGPT’s new voice mode, available in Europe since October 22. The conversational robot, written version, had already made it possible to show the general public the power (and especially the limits) of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Between promises of revolution, clumsy uses and useful applications (in private or at work), the tool nevertheless had difficulty establishing itself as an essential part of everyday life. Unlike a smartphone or an internet connection, going without one did not seem insurmountable.
