Given this ChatGPT a toolshe is worried that the existence of the service is misused by unscrupulous persons, one of which is the spread of hoaxes.
“What we’re concerned about is being used wrongly tocreate what’s called a hoax, fake news, that’s easy too. So it has to be seen from its utilization. What we have to be most careful about is that we still look at the source. There may be information created by ChatGPT or do we have to see if the source can be trusted or not related to hoaxes,” he said in Jakarta, Thursday night (23/2/2023).
The man who is called Semmy knows that ChatGPT is still relatively new. For this reason, the government continues to follow the development of the results of this artificial intelligence technology.
“We don’t see this as a negative or positive thing. This is just a tool that is currently being monitored as well as its utilization,” said Semmy.
The existence of ChatGPT has the potential to be blocked by Kominfo. Because, so far it has not registered itself as Electronic System Operators (PSE) in Indonesia.
For information, every digital platform that provides services such as search engines, transactions, to processing Indonesian users’ personal data, is obliged to register for PSE with Kominfo.
“Oh yes (there is a paid ChatGPT) which means you have to register. Later we will see if he has entered targeting Indonesia yet, if he is targeting us, we will send a letter to register for PSE,” said the Aptika Director General.
Companies that are required to register for PSE are listed as in PP Number 71 of 2019 (PP 71/2019), PSE registration must be carried out by every party that organizes electronic systems in Indonesia, both from the state (public bodies) and private parties.
In PP 71/2019, PSE itself is divided into two categories, namely Private PSE and Public PSE.
