Firefighters and police intervened in the night from Saturday to Sunday in the canton of Friborg to put out a vehicle fire.

A motorhome caught fire around 2:10 am on the night of Saturday to Sunday on the A12 motorway near Châtel-Saint-Denis (FR). The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire, but there were no injuries, said the cantonal police of Friborg.

As the vehicle was traveling from Vevey towards Friborg, smoke started to spread in the passenger compartment. The driver stopped on the emergency lane and was able to exit the vehicle before it caught fire completely. An investigation was opened to determine the causes of the incident.
