Although the castle has been sold, Martien and Erica must be present for the official transfer. “We will go to the castle for the last time,” explains Martien. To get there as fast as possible, Mum and Dad Meiland decide to drive directly to the French castle. “There are so many things to think about before you leave,” Erica said. “But I can’t wait to do it again, yes.”
Also present are Maxime, Leroy and their daughters Claire and Vivé. They only discover quickly enough that they have forgotten the bag with the sandwiches. “Damn, then we won’t have food all day,” Leroy says, irritated. How about eating somewhere along the highway? It seems to be too little for Leroy, who surprisingly turns out to have the most notes on his voice. “I won’t eat anything from the gas station. Then we’ll eat croissants all the time.”

When Maxime and Leroy call Martien and Erica to say they want to turn around, Martien reacts indignantly. “Then get the sandwiches,” she says. Leroy then sarcastically mimics his father-in-law’s ways. All in all, they return to Noordwijk for sandwiches.
Viewers of the program do not understand. “Really … back for the sandwiches. No supermarket coming, huh, “an onlooker tweeted angrily.” My God, my son-in-law’s sweet mouth is as friendly as the rest of that mess, “says another of Leroy’s language. And an attentive viewer hears. Claire yelling from the back seat: “Mommy needs to eat!”

Meanwhile, Erica and Martien in the car are old-fashioned antisocial. He thinks he drives dangerously and doesn’t think criticism of him is justified. “Don’t ride with me like that,” Erica says in frustration. “Because I’m driving and I have to pay attention and if something happens it’s dangerous.” Martien, on the other hand, made it with the tour, while I’m not even in Belgium yet. “This is the last time!”
And this in turn leads to appreciation from viewers. ‘You can fill three episodes with those images of Martien and Erica in the car. I’m doubled over with laughter. ‘
