Chateau viewers clamor for ‘hysterical camping trip’ during Maxime’s birth

Because the entire family is not allowed to be present in the hospital – because of corona – Martien, Erica and Leroy’s parents have gathered in a van in the parking lot of the hospital. By facetime with Leroy, they are a bit involved. Mother Erica finds it difficult not to be there, because she hears from Maxime’s voice that she is having a hard time. “But yes, it has to come out,” says the sober Erica.

Viewers at home find it a comical sight; the entire (in-law) family in the parking lot of the local hospital. “It’s like they’re sitting on the Mont Ventoux waiting for the Tour de France to come along,” someone writes. Martien complains for a moment that there are no snacks and wine, but Erica will soon get it. “Otherwise I start shaking,” he says. “If you still have to wait until the baby arrives, then such a camper with snacks and drinks is nice,” says one viewer. Another: “I’m going to die for that Meiland party in the hospital parking lot.”

Someone else doesn’t understand what moves the family to wait for Vivé’s birth in this way. After all, the Meilandjes live quite close by. ‘Just explain to me why you all have to stand in a parking lot to wait for your daughter-in-law to give birth. Then you’re not good, are you?’ said an irritated viewer.

Meanwhile, Maxime has given birth to Vivé for a long time and the little sprout has been on the world for almost two months now. The mother enjoys her little sprout to the fullest, she says in the video below.

Chateau Meiland see you every Monday and Thursday at 20:30 on SBS6. Missed episode? You watch that here back.
