“There’s a funeral,” Maxime remarks when she sees a group of black hats outside. “Oh, how bad. That’s not possible,” says Martien, who then tries to close a window. “Well, the dead rise from their graves, just from the sound”, laughs Maxime. “Yes, life goes on,” concludes Erica.
When the window is closed, the three just keep going. And Maxime in particular only produces more sound. She screams out as she hits her finger with a hammer.
Code Rosé is a two-minute walk from the General Cemetery Noordwijk. When Maxime jokes about ghosts in the guest house later in the episode, Martien fears that this will scare away guests.
