Setback for Martien Meiland (59) and his family. The sale of their castle in France is canceled after all. The investor who wanted to put about 1 million euros on the table for the renovated building has changed his mind. And so ‘Château Meiland’ is back on the market.

It is yet another stumbling block in the sale of the castle. For their reality series – which can be seen with us on Play5 – the Meiland family converted it into a B&B for months. Once finished, they decided to move back to the Netherlands. Last year Martien Meiland asked for 1.25 million euros for his castle, but due to lack of interest, he reduced it to 998,000 euros.
That price remains, now that Château Meiland is for sale again. Potential buyers have already reported to visit the castle in the coming week.
