The Russians have not entered Chasov Yar, as previously reported, but there is heavy fighting in the area. This was stated by the speaker of the Eastern Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrey Zadubinny in a commentary Reuters.
“The situation there is very difficult, fighting continues, but they (Russian troops) are not there… Don’t believe Russian reports,” said Andrei Zadubinny.
Reuters also noted that earlier propagandists from RIA Novosti wrote about Russians entering Chasov Yar. Moreover, they referred to the deputy of the local Gauleiter.
The American Institute for the Study of War also wrote that the Russians had entered the suburb of Vremenny Yar. ISW referred to geolocation footage published on April 4. Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that, having occupied Chasov Yar, the Russians would be able to take Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka and Kramatorsk under fire control.
