The Russians killed his wife and unborn daughter.
It all began when a team of US Navy SEALs, including Chief Petty Officer John Kelly, rescued a CIA agent taken hostage by a suspected paramilitary group working for Assad in Aleppo, Syria. The situation becomes complicated when the US commandos discover that the kidnappers are Russian soldiers. Three months later, in retaliation for their role in the mission, several members of the team are secretly murdered by Russian FSB agents. Kelly’s wife, Pam, is also murdered when the Russians break into their home in Washington, D.C. Kelly kills all but one of the attackers and is taken to the hospital in serious condition.
