Briscoe won five of 13 races this season, but he hadn’t been a winner in the last seven events. The famine ended with Dover in a replacement car.

After suffering an accident on Saturday, Briscoe had to use another car and he was moved to the back of the field before the start of Sunday’s race.

Briscoe propelled forward to win the second stage and he held his end down the stretch, rallying the checkered flag first.

Briscoe posted an eighth career victory and has positioned himself to be a serious contender for the NASCAR’s most prestigious Second Series Championship.

Ross Chastain finished second while Austin Cindric took third place on the podium.

Quebecer Alex Labbé finished the race at 17e echelon.
