Chartres TT suffers a defeat against Thorigné in ProA

The C’Chartres TT players were simply not there on Tuesday. With a view to qualifying for the Final Four from mid-May, the Chartrains had to win against Thorigné. They did not know how to do it despite a good start from Bence Majoros, who came back from very far against Jules Rolland (French n°48). Led two sets to zero, the Magyar of the CCTT was able to take advantage of a timeout requested by his coach Emmanuel Rassouw to reverse the trend (12-14, 9-11 and… 4-5) to win the third set as well than the next two (11-9 in the fifth).

The intractable Chartrains in Cergy

Tired for the Chartrains, the return of Bence Majoros remained without result. Taken by their opponents, Horacio Cifuentes and Vitor Ishiy were swept away with the score of 3 sets to 1 respectively by the Iranian Noshad Alamiyan (n°32) and the former Chartrain Vincent Picard (n°56).

What followed was a lone rider from the same Alamiyan in front of Bence Majoros, author of the only Chartres success of the evening and unable to convert his three second set balls, before losing in the third (11-7, 12 -10, 11-9). Final defeat: 3-1. Three days after the stinging defeat in Angers (3-1), the CCTT is no longer advancing and jeopardizing its chances of pushing its season further.

The CCTT will have to quickly put its head back in place by the next meeting, May 2, scheduled at GV Hennebont, one of the favorites to succeed Angers at the top of the ProA. A real challenge in perspective that can put them back in the saddle. Double or quits…
