The secretary general of the Eure-et-Loir prefecture, Yann Gérard, addressed the authorities, participants and spectators in these terms: “The passions aroused by the war in Algeria sixty years ago have not died down. There are still different and divergent memories. We have collectively made progress towards an essential goal, that of the reconciliation of memories. »
