Since 2016, the city of Chartres has built a small reputation in the world of street art thanks to the organization of Boulevard du graff, every March, which celebrates street art and urban culture.
This year, it could not take place due to sanitary measures, so go for a walk and discover the already existing graffiti that dot the streets of Chartres.

Our walk begins on rue Percheronne, not far from the forecourt of Notre-Dame de Chartres cathedral. Here you will find a graffiti by Jimmy.C, an Australian artist recognized internationally for his numerous productions on the walls of cities around the world. This represents a heart.
Take the rue de Bethléem and the Notre-Dame cloister, at the passage Étienne-Houvet is a graffiti of the Chartreuse EZK. Very committed, the artist denounces the consumer society.
Then continue on rue au Lait then rue de Saint-Éman, you come out on rue de la Corroierie, in the lower town. On one of the walls is Notre-Dame du Wi-Fi, another graffiti created by EZK. The artist uses a stencil to create and maintains anonymity by advancing always masked.
