Chartres: thirteen verbalizations during mask wearing control operations on the Filibus and Rémi networks

In terms of wearing a mask, the controllers of the Rémi network and the peri-urban Filibus network have noted a certain relaxation of users since March 14, the date on which health restrictions were lifted.

“However, wearing a mask remains compulsory in public transport”, recalls Jérémy Pourtout, head of the Filibus control service.

“A few ignore it when they get on the bus, but most clearly tend to drop the mask.”

13 verbalizations at 135 €

The controllers of the two networks reported this observation last week to the Transport Monitoring Unit of the Intermunicipal Contract for Security and Prevention of Delinquency and Radicalization (CISPDR). This is why Chartres Métropole transports organized two control operations, Thursday April 7, at the level of the media library, and this Friday April 8, at the temporary Compa station, with the assistance of national police officers, municipal police officers and personnel from the carrier Transdev.

“It’s all about prevention. Nevertheless, as part of the first control operation that we carried out on Thursday, at the level of the media library, the police fined 13 passengers for failure to wear a mask. This is a fourth class fine, which amounts to 135 €”.

At the same time, the police fined 34 passengers who were traveling without a ticket.
