The hour of Chartrestivales rang, so summer can begin to Chartres (Eure-et-Loir). Here we go again for almost two months of daily concerts. So, what program for the first week of festivities, from July 1 to 7, 2022 ?
For its 30th edition, the association of Chartrestivales has scheduled concerts every day at 9 p.m., except Sundays and holidays, until August 27. The stage will set down on the Places Billard, Les Halles, Châtelet or even at Chartres Cathedral throughout the summer.

From July 1 to 7, you will find:
The great start of the Chartrestivales 2022 will be given by the Latin group Duende, who will offer salsa, rock and reggae on the market squareFriday at 9 p.m.
The next day, Saturday, direction Ireland…on the place Châtelet, with the U2 Project, a tribute to the rock quartet from across the Channel.
Tuesday July 5, 2022, return to the Place des Halles for sea shanties, in the company of the Gabiers d’Artimon.
Wednesday, July 6, still on the Place des Halles, the Chartrestivales again put forward the rock. Here, the 60s version, with Ricky Norton and White Socquettes.
This first week of festivities will end on Thursday July 7 at the cathedral with Jean-Luc Etienne and his organ concert. He is usually an organ teacher at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Tours.
The concerts are obviously free, and without reservation.
