Unions and parents’ associations are mobilized this Thursday, January 13, 2022 for an unprecedented strike to denounce health protocols and chaos “ which reigns according to them in schools in the face of the Covid-19 situation. She will be very popular in Eure-et-Loir, according to the SNUipp-FSU 28 union, which estimates the number of striking teachers at 70% and between 30 and 40 schools closed for tomorrow.
Prior to this strike, the City of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) communicate with parents of students. “A very large number of staff will be absent”, announces the City, including teachers from nursery and primary schools and also municipal staff.
Children will have to stay at home
The health protocol imposed by the State prohibits the mixing of students from several classes. It is by citing this reason that the Chartres municipality finds itself in “the impossibility of offering a minimum reception service for children whose teachers will be on strike”.
Some children welcomed tomorrow
Only children whose parents exercise a priority profession can be welcomed by the services of the City (doctors, carers, pharmacists, etc.). Supporting documents will be requested from the parents.
Students can spend the day on two shared sites and trivialized for this day of social movement, namely, for children in kindergarten at Emile-Zola, and for children in elementary school at Maurice-Carême.
