Chartres MHB’s Loss to Montpellier in Boulazac Tournament Final: A Setback in Preparation for Coupe de France

The day after qualifying on penalties against Nîmes (28-28, 3-0 tab), the C’Chartres MHB fell very heavily in the final of the Boulazac tournament, this Friday evening. Nebojsa Stojinovic’s men were beaten 39-27 by Montpellier, the vice-champion of France.

Chartres dismisses Nîmes and will challenge Montpellier in the final of the Boulazac tournament

Still deprived of Vadim Gauduchenko (foot), the Chartrains were already led by nine goals at the break (19-10), against an opponent they will find on Thursday, September 7, at the opening of the Starligue.

Heading for the Coupe de France

Despite this very dry defeat, the Chartres preparation remains positive, with a record of four wins, one draw and two losses. Place now in the official competition, with a first round of the Coupe de France, scheduled for Wednesday August 30, in Pontault-Combault (D2).
