This guide brings together all the necessary information concerning the reception and leisure activities offered to children and young people in the area from 0 to 17 years old. It is on the initiative of Hélène Denieault, Vice-President of Chartres Métropole in charge of Childhood and Youth and published by Chartres Métropole in partnership with the PEP 28 association. This “exhaustive” guide allows families from agglomeration to know all the solutions during school time and during holidays. It is downloadable at www.chartres-metropole.fr. This publication brings together the contacts and interlocutors within Chartres Métropole and the various departments. It includes the educational project of Chartres metropolis, but also the novelties for the next school year, the timetables, the organization, the places or even the practical details concerning the various reception centers (early childhood relay, leisure reception, young people’s spaces , as well as information on the BIJ and the PIJ (Point Information Jeunesse)). Finally, the last part of the booklet concerns all the prices of the different places presented.
The reception and leisure offer of Chartres Métropole has been adapted to the needs of the inhabitants. It brings together the early childhood relay, suitable for young children from 0 to 3 years old. A place of exchange that offers accompanied workshops between songs and nursery rhymes, and varied workshops, with stories, manual activities… Then come the leisure reception without accommodation (ALSH), intended for young people aged 3 to 12. They receive children on Wednesdays and during school holidays, with staff from PEP 28. The programs are both educational and fun, with notions of living well together and the environment addressed… Finally, we find in Chartres metropolis the youth spaces, suitable for ages 12 to 17. What to accompany teenagers towards development. They are open one or two weekends a month during the school term with different registration formulas, and during school holidays except weekends.
For its part, youth information is provided for young people aged 11 to 25. They offer “free, free and anonymous” access. the Youth information point is labeled by the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. It provides hotlines, animation workshops and forums, organized to support young people in their research in terms of educational and professional orientation or services for their daily lives (housing, law, health, leisure, mobility, etc.) . As to Youth Information Office, also certified, it is a place of information and reception open to all. It offers information workshops led by professionals, different themed areas to help young people find their way around, up-to-date and varied documentation and various services.
