Twenty-one illuminated sites for the next 260 evenings… Chartres en lumière has just started and many spectators are already crowding in front of the city’s monuments, to enjoy this first launch evening, until at 1 o’clock in the morning.
Among the twenty-and-illuminated sites, the unmissable Notre-Dame de Chartres cathedral, but also the Eurélium, with a scenography that pays homage to Jean Moulin, prefect of Eure-et-Loir in Chartres and French resistance fighter.

Chartres en lumière starts on Saturday: here is the whole program!
The Montescot hotel, one of the novelties of this 2022-2023 season, is also adorned with its most beautiful lights this Saturday. On the theme “Rock, paper, scissors”, the artists behind the scenography wanted to tell the story of this monument through the eyes of a child.

Back after two years of absence, the Chartres en lumière trail is also making a comeback, this Saturday 30 April. While discovering the monuments of Chartres illuminated along the route, the evening runners complete 10 km, in a festive atmosphere.
The 19th edition of Chartres en lumière will take place every evening, from April 30 to January 14, 2023. Saturday, April 30, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
From May 1 to July 31, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. From August 1 to 31, from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. From September 1 to 30, from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. From October 1 to January 14, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
