Who will succeed the September 2021 winners, Tura Bechere and Leïla Bessalem (semi), Sylvain Dodé and Camille Mortamet (10 km) and Arnaud Jahier and Réjane Prioux (5 km), Sunday March 20, on the finish line of the Grands- Close ? Half-marathon: Lazaar but not only
Winner in 2015, 2017 and 2018, Saïd Lazaar remains a formidable opponent over 21.1 km. 15th in France in cross country at the Masters, the Nogentais from Perche Running Passion could nevertheless be challenged by Essonnien Nicolas Valentin (Orsay / Gif), 19th in the French half-marathon championships last year, in Les Sables-d’ Olonne (Vendée), with a nice 1h07’43. The Auvergnat Simon Pimenta, to be credited with 1h09’33 during the last half of Boulogne-Billancourt, last November, could also spice up the race.
Among the women, Magalie Véron (JA Montfort-le-Gesnois) seems the best armed. His 38’45 over 10 km at Sargé-lès-Le Mans, at the start of the year, could allow him to flirt with 1h27 at Grands-Prés. Gaëlle Gauthier (OCCBA), 1h28’42 in 2021, and Lucie Basdevant (Verneuil-sur-Avre), who knows the area well, could threaten her supremacy.
