6.30 p.m. this Tuesday 23 February 2021, at Barjouville (Eure-et-Loir), in the agglomeration of Chartres. About ten gendarmes, supported by the departmental road safety squadron and the surveillance and intervention squad of the Gendarmerie are mobilized for a control respect for the curfew.
For more than an hour, the police checked a hundred vehicles, to two tickets have been issued.
The checkpoint of the day: the parking lot of the Jardiland store, where several pairs were operating. In a few minutes, the gendarmes check if the exceptional travel certificates are duly completed, as well as supporting documents, driving licenses and vehicle papers.
“The aim of the 6 pm curfew is also to avoid holding festive gatherings, even if this is hard for the population,” indicates Colonel Georges Pierrini.
1,300 infringements recorded in Eure-et-Loir since December 15
Françoise Souliman, prefect of Eure-et-Loir, went there. She calls at the responsibility of Eurelians. “This is not to repeat, the department of Eure-et-Loir is today the department of the Center-Val de Loire region most affected by the virus”.
This Tuesday 23 February 2021, the incidence rate in Eure-et-Loir is 199.60 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. A rate that has risen considerably since our last assessment, last Friday.
Since December 15, 2020, 1,300 offenses have been identified in the department, related to wearing a mask or respecting the curfew. We are going to get the return on investment of the vaccine, it would be silly to relax everyone’s efforts at the last moment.
