” Go ahead ! Do somersaults. The video intercepted by the police on the phone of Thomas Guille, a 39-year-old Mainvillois, leaves no doubt about his intentions. He asks a little girl, aged seven, to do somersaults, so that he can film her crotch.
“I entered the room at that time,” the little girl’s mother tells the police when she lodges a complaint. “He was trying to hide his phone. It seemed weird to me. “
After the mother of the family has reported, the Mainvillois telephone and computers are seized and analyzed.
Thousands of deleted files
A video of another little girl is recorded there. But also, thousands of photos, most of them erased, were found on the hard drive of his computer.
They represent masked men, engaging in sexual acts with little girls from 5 to 10 years old. Some are tied up, others are crying.
According to the elements presented at the hearing, placed in police custody, he admits to having pedophile inclinations: “But I’m not bad. I have never assaulted anyone. “
At the end of this first police custody, in January 2018, he was placed under judicial supervision pending trial, with the obligation to consult a psychiatrist.
Several months later, he has no news from the justice system. He thinks his file is closed. He buys a new computer. And he starts again. 54,000 new child pornography photos are found on his new computer.
He was detained for two months, before being released again.
The Mainvillois has a particular profile. He never held any job. “When I finished my studies, I looked for work. I did not find any. It demotivated me ”, justifies the man, during his trial, at the Chartres court. He admits never having had the slightest romantic relationship, and lives with his parents, where his only hobbies are computers, which he says he is passionate about, and video games.
“Sexual misery does not necessarily make a pedophile”
Before the judges, he defends himself awkwardly, while acknowledging what he is accused of: “I didn’t want to hurt anyone. “
Despite court orders, he has still not started psychiatric care.
“Sexual misery does not necessarily make a pedophile”, protests the prosecutor, noting that the images found on the computer of the Mainvillois “are unbearable”. “In some foreign laws, he could be prosecuted for complicity in rape. “
At the bar of the court, the Mainvillois nods. But he does not really explain the reasons which pushed him not to be followed by a psychiatrist, and especially those which pushed him to start collecting pedophile photos again. “During confinement I was bored,” he is content to explain.
He was sentenced to three years in prison, with immediate imprisonment. He left the court, flanked by three police officers.
He will be registered in the sex offender register.
The public prosecutor explained that the exploitation of the photos is the subject of an investigation: “One of the men who rape one of the little girls is not masked. We will do everything to identify it. “
