Chartres commemorates the appeal of June 18 and the resistance of Jean Moulin

The ceremony was broadcast on the big screen to avoid too many people in the same place despite the reflux of the Covid.
The commemoration of the appeal of June 18, 1940, by General de Gaulle took place on Saturday June 18, at the end of the morning, on the esplanade of the Resistance in Chartres, in the presence of several elected officials.General de Gaulle’s appeal was commemorated as well as Jean Moulin’s first act of resistance.

The Chartres harmony orchestra played the Marseillaise as well as the Song of the partisans. A tribute was paid to the first act of resistance by Jean Moulin, at the time, prefect of Eure-et-Loir.
