The Charta Politika survey shows electability Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka far ahead of the pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN).
In a survey conducted 4-11 January 2024, Prabowo-Gibran’s electability was recorded at 42.2 percent. However, this figure decreased by around 1.6 percent compared to the survey in December 2023 which was recorded at 43.8 percent.
Then, Ganjar-Mahfud is in second place with an electability of 28 percent. Anies-Muhaimin is in the bottom position with an electability of 26.7 percent.
“Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming were the respondents’ highest choice on closed questions, above Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar,” said a press release from Charta Politika, quoted on Sunday (21/1).
The Charta Politika survey looked at the level of stability of respondents’ choices for the presidential-vice presidential candidate pair, which was generally balanced. According to the survey, the level of voter stability for Anies-Muhaimin is 78 percent, Prabowo-Gibran is 78 percent, and Ganjar-Mahfud is 77 percent.
The survey also collected various reasons for respondents in determining their choice of presidential candidate. As many as 24.8 percent of respondents said the presidential and vice presidential candidates must have a populist attitude/care for the people.
Then, followed by presidential and vice presidential candidates who must be firm/authoritative (18.2 percent), smart/educated (12 percent), and honest/free from KKN practices (11.3 percent).
The Charta Politika survey involved 1,220 respondents aged 17 years and over and used the face-to-face interview method. Calculations were carried out using a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.82 percent.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Political Indicators survey for the period 10-16 January 2024 stated that the electability of the Prabowo-Gibran pair reached 48.55 percent.
Meanwhile, the second position is occupied by Anies-Muhaimin with an electability of 24.17 percent. This achievement also beats the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair which only had 21.60 percent.
