Karel Gott’s fans have seen it. After two years of waiting, a concert was held on Sunday evening at Prague’s O2 Arena in honor of the Master, who had succumbed to an insidious illness less than three years ago. Although a plethora of leading Czech singers took turns on the stage, his daughter Charlotte Ella, who sang Bells of Happiness with Dara Rolins, played the lead. But where was Gott’s youngest daughter, Nelly Sofia? The eXtra.cz editorial staff managed to obtain exclusive footage directly from behind the scenes of the concert, from which it is clear that it was definitely not missing at the concert.

“You have to think about what you’re going to eat.” says the Master in one of the cut scenes of the documentary Karel. “A singer and an actress,” said Charlotte, who had already had several sings with her famous father at the time. “I’d rather you were the headmaster. Singer, this is no longer a profession of the future, Charlotte. Everything was already sung. People communicate over the internet and download everything, ” stated Karel Gott.
But Charlotte seems to have her head. During the Sunday concert Tribute to Karel Gott in the O2 arena, together with Darou Rolins symbolic she sang the song Bells of Happiness, who years ago, during a memorable famous duet with Karel, started the career of then twelve-year-old Darinka Rolincová, today’s Dary Rolins. Although she was nervous about Charlotte, she quickly managed to conquer the arena, and if she wanted to, she could soon sell out similar halls with her own repertoire.
Charlotte in the spotlight
While charlotte she she enjoyed the spotlights, her younger sister never once appeared on stage Nelly Sofiewho also performed several times at the concert of her famous father. It was even missing at the end of the entire gala show, when all the performers met on stage and sang Gott’s hit Go for Happiness together.
The eXtra.cz editorial staff managed to get exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, from which it is clear that Nelly, unlike her oldest sister Dominika Gottováwas in the lobby. And right at the entrance to the stage, where she had her place of honor at the TV monitors, where she could enjoy the atmosphere of the whole concert. And she wasn’t there alone. When Charlotte was not on the stage, Gott’s daughters sat there together. Very often, their mother Ivana also appeared with them, who managed to arrange a lot of arrangements, because she made sure that the concert went to the last detail, and at one point she dealt with something very eagerly with moderator of the show Libor Bouček.
Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage
However, it is clear from our records that Gott’s girls are holding together, and although Charlotte could sing on stage and Nella could not, there is not the slightest animosity between the girls, and on the contrary, they kept smiles all over the place. And when, at the end of the concert, their mother said goodbye to the legends of Czech pop musicians who came to pay tribute to their father, they quickly gathered together so that neither of them would be alone.
