Charlotte Offers $ 25 for COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients and Those Who Drive Them

Mecklenburg County offers $25 for those who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and for whom they lead.

Mecklenburg County Public Health (MCPH) is partnering with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) to offer Summer Cards of $ 25 to help pay for the time and transportation needed to get the vaccine.

The eligible people include anyone over the age of 18 who:

  • Receive your first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna, or J&J) at a participating COVID-19 vaccine site
  • O carry someone to receive their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at a participating COVID-19 vaccination center

Only the non-commercial carriers they can receive a gift card. A carrier may not receive a gift card if they receive one compensation for the ride, for example, if you work for Uber, Lyft, or a taxi.
