Hundreds of thousands of Norwegians have had Charlotte Frogner (41) in their living room, through her role as Celine Kopperud in the NRK hit ‘Side om side’.
Even though she works indefinitely at Det Norske Teatret, she can also be seen in the role of Valborg in this autumn’s new Olsenbanden film “Olsenbanden – last cry”.
Despite her great success in theatre, film and TV, it is the role of mother that is most important to Charlotte. She has two children with her partner Erlend Nyhammer (41).
Reveal details from the birth
– Becoming a mother is the greatest thing that has happened to me in my life, she said earlier.
But it’s also probably the most dramatic thing that’s ever happened to her. In an interview with KK tells Charlotte how serious things were going when Karla (6) was born.
It was about life and death
Charlotte and Erlend hadn’t been lovers for long when life suddenly turned serious.
I woke up in a pool of blood
– We were only together for fifteen minutes before we had children. It wasn’t exactly planned. We quickly went from completely stupid love to a matter of life and death, Charlotte tells KK.
Charlotte had blood poisoning and had to have an emergency C-section. The actress was in intensive care for ten days before she could start breathing calmly.
Fortunately, everything went well in the end and Charlotte and little Karla were able to go home. The actress has previously said that motherhood wasn’t a walk in the park, but luckily neither Charlotte nor Erlend were afraid of having more children.
Almost two years ago, they were able to welcome little Kjærulf into the world. Together with the poodle king Bertil, the family has settled in the summer idyll of Son, an hour south of Oslo.
Absolutely fantastic
The children are not yet old enough to see the Olsenbanden film in which their mother plays. But eventually they will probably share the experience with her, just like the Olsenbanden universe was part of her upbringing.
Sharing candid photos after birth
– It was something you were allowed to watch with your parents. I think it was absolutely amazing, Charlotte says in an interview with NRK.
– And I didn’t think, when I was sitting at home on the leather sofa in the 80s, that one day I would play Valborg.
