During the TLC 2020 broadcasts via WWE Network, Charlotte Flair returned after a six-month absence and teamed up with Asuka to win the Women’s Championship as a couple against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Flair showed up in the ring and hugged his teammate. At the same time a cameo was seen where his father, Ric Flair, was in the area of backstage watching the fight. In the final minutes, “The Queen” backbreaked Shayna and kicked Nia Jax. He then tried a Figure Eight with Baszler but Jax broke the key. Asuka suddenly appeared to bring Nia to the ringside zone while Charlotte scooped out a Baszler Kirifuda Clutch and performed a Natural Selection for the victory by the count of three.

In this way, Charlotte Flair became Grand Slam having achieved all the Women’s titles throughout his career in WWE. Further, Asuka is currently a double crown champion, as she is also the RAW Women’s Champion. Jax and Baszler’s reign ended 112 days after their 2020 Payback win against Sasha Banks and Bayley.

Lana was discharged for this match on Monday Night RAW

After receiving a brutal attack by Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Monday Night RAW, it was announced that Lana did not receive a medical discharge to compete in Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The WWE authorities defined that the fight for the Women’s Couples Championships would continue to stand for pay-per-view. However, Asuka would be forced to choose a new partner for this confrontation. It should be noted that the RAW women’s champion earned this opportunity alongside Lana after two non-title victories of both against Baszler and Jax.

Charlotte Flair’s last appearance

It’s no accident that Charlotte Flair has become Asuka’s teammate. We remember that in the Monday Night episode of June 22, Asuka and Flair faced each other for the RAW Women’s Championships. Asuka managed to retain the title but Charlotte Flair returned backstage and was attacked by Nia Jax. According to WWE, Flair would be out of action for several months due to an arm injury but in reality, Charlotte was absent to undergo surgery and recover from injuries that she had been dragging on in recent years.
