Charlotte elementary school student dies of COVID-19

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg (CMS) elementary school student died after battling COVID-19.

The first grade student (7 years old) was known to attend Stoney Creek Elementary School.

In August, a 16-year-old Lancaster County student died following a COVID-19 diagnosis.

CMS officials have not issued a statement regarding the boy’s recent death.
