Among the multitude of stars who distinguished themselves on the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, this May 6 in New York, Charlotte of Monaco made a remarkable arrival on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2019. Once again, the daughter of Princess Caroline showed her interest in fashion by taking part in this unmissable event across the Atlantic.
For the occasion, Charlotte Casiraghi had distanced herself from this year’s theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion, which evokes a wardrobe certainly glamorous, but above all quirky. For several years, the pretty brunette has been a follower of the collections signed Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent. Unsurprisingly, it was wearing an elegant strapless black sequined dress from the Parisian house that the 32-year-old Monegasque took part in this hardly more glamorous event, not far from Demi Moore, Miley Cyrus and her husband Liam Hemsworth, Zoë Kravitz, Rami Malek and Charlotte Gainsbourg, also dressed by the French label.
Last year, it was already in a black Saint Laurent dress that the mother of Raphaël (5 years) and Balthazar (6 months) had taken advantage of the Met Gala 2018, then a few months pregnant. In 2016, Dimitri Rassam’s companion appeared radiant in her rainbow Gucci dress by Alessandro Michele, arm in arm with Dakota Johnson, another muse of the longtime Italian brand.
Passionate about fashion, Charlotte Casiraghi recently played the star jurors for the 34th edition of the Hyères Fashion, Photography and Accessories Festival, which took place from April 25 to 29 at the Villa Noailles. As every year, the competition highlighted the collections and achievements of young designers.
