Charlotte Cardin announces 99 Nights tour and releases new song “Looping” with Barbara Streisand sample

Just one month after the release of her first song in almost two years, Charlotte Cardin announces a 40-show tour that will stop in Canada, the United States and Europe.

To follow up on the release of Confetti, the artist now offers his fans Looping. Wrapping herself in a rhythmic nostalgia that has everything from the world of R&B, the Montreal virtuoso addresses in this new song the thoughts that inhabit her when her obsessions push, jostle and spin in her head. Testifying to all the audacity and creative genius of the artist, the new song incorporates a brilliant reinterpretation of a sampling a capella of the song The Way We Were, by Barbara Streisand. Produced by Felix Joseph, Jason Brando and Mr. Hudson, Looping is taking all streaming platforms by storm today.

“I thought I was writing about Mr. Hudson’s dog who sees life in black and white. Instead, Jay thought it was addressing my obsessive thought patterns. Felix sample by chance The Way We Were by Barbara Streisand. And it gave, despite all that, a song that makes sense. Or not? That’s it, I loop encore. » – Charlotte Cardin
