Diamondbacks shortstop Josh Rojas is one of the few players to have a decent halfway season for Arizona, but you’d never know from watching his Charlie Morton curveball swing.
He almost fell off his crampons.
The Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks ended their four-game streak with a morning game on Thursday, and the Braves starter started his afternoon absolutely intimidating Rojas.
On the seventh pitch of the at-bat, Morton unleashed an inside curve ball that nearly hit Rojas in the leg. The movement on the ball was so sudden and violent that Rojas – who probably looked like a fastball – couldn’t stop his swing and fell in the process. He ended up leaning on the ground and staring at Morton like, “Why me?”

This pitch was so rude. It’s the kind of pitch that makes me wonder how hitters are even physically able to hit big league pitchers. It shouldn’t be possible.
Fans were also in awe of this devastating curve.
