Charlie Kaufman Makes a Short Film with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G

Samsung announced its collaboration with Oscar-winning writer and director, Charlie Kaufmanwhich is applied by making a short film using a camera Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G.

Famous through the films “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Synecdoche, New York”, Charlie Kaufman made a short film entitled “Jackals and Fireflies” which was adapted from a poem by Eva HD

In this film, he himself serves as the poet, narrator, and main character in a unique Kaufman-style love letter to New York City.

The Nightography feature on the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G allows renowned cinematographer Chayse Irvin to effectively capture the famous New York night view and present it to the audience as if they were seeing it with their own eyes.

Charlie Kaufman described the experience of shooting with the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G as an “effective approach” to making a film, and he was very satisfied with the “captivating end result”.

The collaboration is part of the Filmed #withGalaxy campaign which invites visionary directors to demonstrate the Galaxy S Series as the perfect tool they need to share epic stories with the world.

In October 2021, Joe Wright, a world famous director from England, used the Ultra Wide 13mm lens on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G to shoot his short film entitled “Princess and Peppernose”.

Then, in November 2021, a rising Chinese director, Sha Mo, used the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G to create “Kids of Paradise” which offers captivating visuals.

“Jackals and Fireflies” will be introduced for the first time at the Galaxy Experience Space in San Francisco along with the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 2, 2023 at 01.00 WIB. Afterwards, Charlie Kaufman will also present the film in New York City.
