The weird incident happened in front of the DeFraia relatives dwelling in East Moriches, Suffolk County, New York. The boy was consuming yogurt with a metal straw when he dropped his stability and fell. When he fell, the steel or absorbent straw in his mouth pierced his tongue and throat, puncturing the appropriate carotid artery. 1 of the 4 major arteries that source blood and oxygen to the brain.
