TikToker Charli D’Amelio e dwt extension Pro Mark Ballas is the new defending champion after the end of Season 31. They have worked hard for the past 10 weeks and couldn’t be happier to win the Mirrorball Trophy.
From the start, many expected Charli and Mark to win. Her prior dance training and prior choreography skills have made her an unstoppable force. But as fans saw in Season 30, she’s not always the contestant with the most dance experience to win. Charli and Mark competed against several strong competitors. They definitely worked hard and deserved the first place.

Charli D’Amelio can’t believe she’s the new reigning champion
During dwt extension In the season 31 finale, the top four pairs had to complete two drills. Mark and Charli easily scored perfect scores on both their redemption dance and their freestyle routine. Chief Judge Len Goodman added that he has never seen a pair get so many perfect scores in consecutive weeks.
It’s not hard to see why Charli and Mark won the competition, but they’re still surprised and thrilled that they won.
“Oh my god, it went so fast!” That’s what 18-year-old Charli told the press, including PEOPLE, after winning the contest. “I couldn’t even really understand what was going on and then they threw me in the air. I was like, ‘What?’”
This wasn’t Mark Ballas’ first Mirrorball Trophy win, but he was as happy and shocked as Charli.
“I think we’re both still a little stoned,” Mark added. “It’s like he’s still in shock.”
Mark Ballas took a five-year hiatus from the show before returning for season 31. Like Charli, he admitted he was no longer in love with dancing. However, it seems that both have rekindled their passion for dance in the past 10 weeks. They are incredibly happy that they have found each other.
“I’ve learned so much, whether it’s about all these new dance styles, or just myself as a person, or learning to perform anything,” Charli continued. “I learned a lot about it and it’s thanks to Mark.”
Will Mark Ballas be back for another year?
It’s not immediately clear whether Mark Ballas wants to return dancing with the Stars Season 32. But if her mom joins the show, maybe she’ll have another reason to come back.
The executive team is said to be seeking world-renowned choreographer Shirley Ballas to fill Len Goodman’s seat. He currently he is the chief justice of Great Britain Make sure you come to dancebut it’s possible he could do both shows.
