Charles Manson confessed to another murder in previously unreleased recordings – News List

“There’s a part of my life that no one knows about,” American serial killer Charles Manson said in a trailer for the upcoming documentary Making Manson from US streaming service Peacock. British station reported about BBC or a diary The Keeper.

In previously unpublished recordings made while the now-dead Manson was in prison, according to the creators, he confesses to other murders that should have happened in the early 1960s in Mexico.

“I lived in Mexico for a while. I went to Acapulco, stole cars. I was just involved in things that were out of my control. I have been involved in a few murders. I left my .357 Magnum in Mexico City and I left some dead on the beach,” the serial killer says in the trailer for the documentary.

The documentary Making Manson also features former associates of the killer and followers of his cult, such as Phil Kaufman, who shared a cell with him for a long time. The documentary will be released on the streaming platform on November 19.

Manson died in 2017 in a California prison where he spent the last 40 years of his life. Nevertheless, he remains one of the most famous American serial killers.

Although he himself did not commit any murders, in the late 1960s he convinced a number of followers, who nicknamed themselves “The Family”, to kill nine people. Among them was the pregnant Sharon Tate, a Hollywood actress and the director’s wife at the time Roman Polanski.

According to Manson’s plan, the local black community was to be blamed for the murders. He wanted to start an apocalyptic race war, at the end of which only Manson’s followers would be left. He called it Helter Skelter (he took the name from the song The Beatles).

The series of murders, according to many, symbolically “ended” the 1960s and greatly influenced the social scene of the movement. hippies.

Since the events of the late 1960s, many films have been inspired by the story of Charles Manson. The successful director Quentin Tarantino was also greatly inspired by the murder of actress Sharon Tate in his latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
