He added, “He took off his mask, which he tried to hide behind for a long time to seize an opportunity that may not be repeated, and his fear of losing it makes him lose his mind.”
This came in response to what had been issued by the political writer Sarkis Naoum in an interview with Al-Jadeed.
Naoum said: “Suleiman Franjieh visited Syria for the last time with a Syrian official convoy, and during his visit he heard certain words that he would be president of the Republic of Lebanon, and he heard other words that if you are not the president, he will not be president except through you.”
It is clear that Professor Sarkis Naoum, after he has advanced in age, wants to crown his career with a political position through the line of opposition by electing the son of his region, the former deputy Suleiman Franjieh, as president of the republic, so he took off his mask, which he tried to hide behind him for a long time to seize an opportunity that may not be repeated, and his fear of losing it loses him. He’s right.
