Charles Ancelotti to Coach Brazilian National Team in Copa America 2024: Fernando Diniz as Interim Manager

Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) make sure Charles Ancelotti will be coach Brazilian national team over America’s Cup 2024. Fernando Diniz will temporarily manage the Samba Team.

CBF was indeed keen on approaching Ancelotti after Tite withdrew due to a failure at the 2022 World Cup. However, Ancelotti refused because he still wanted to focus on managing Madrid.

However, CBF did not give up and continued to approach Ancelotti, until finally the Italian coach gave in. Ancelotti has reportedly agreed to take charge of Brazil after his contract at Madrid expires in June 2024.

Ancelotti can focus on completing his final season with Madrid. Meanwhile Brazil will be temporarily held by Fluminense coach Fernando Diniz.

Diniz is considered to have a coaching style similar to Ancelotti’s, so that later the transition process will run smoothly. Diniz has a tough task to be able to lead Brazil to win the 2024 Copa America.

“There are many good coaches in Brazil, Diniz is one of them. I got interested in his innovative approach while working at Audax. Since then he has continued to use the same philosophy at the clubs he has coached, without ever changing it. His method has always been the same and I really like with his innovation and tactical application,” CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues was quoted as saying Football Espana.

“He is a coach who shares the same philosophy as the coach who will take over us after the Copa America, Ancelotti. They have a similar tactical approach.”
