Keenan Allen left the game with a hamstring injury in the first half of the Chargers’ 24-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. His failure against the Chiefs is not surprising. NFL Networks’ Tom Pelissero previously reported that Allen is unlikely to attend Thursday’s game.
Keenan Allen: Doctors are confident
Although Allen will miss the Chargers game against AFC West opponent, his injury will not affect his long-term availability with the team. The five-time Pro Bowler had four catches for 66 yards in the Chargers opener of the season. According to Pelissero’s report, Allen could likely return in week three when Los Angeles plays the Jaguars on September 25.
