Charged with attempted murder – believes video recordings will acquit

During the imprisonment meeting in Oslo District Court on Monday, the accused 20-year-old asked the police to collect surveillance videos from a kiosk and a restaurant in Greenland in Oslo. According to the man, these recordings will support his explanation and check him out of the case.

The man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after one a man in his 20s was stabbed in Grønlands torg on Friday night.

At first, three other people had been arrested by the police, but were quickly checked out and released by the police. Later on Friday, the now accused 20-year-old was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The Oslo District Court has ruled in favor of the police that there is good reason to charge the man with attempted murder or complicity in this, but did not agree that the man must be detained for four weeks with a letter and visit ban.

– The court has concluded that the grounds for suspicion indicate that imprisonment for one week is proportionate, the court writes, and adds:

– The court assumes that the police during the imprisonment period of one week obtain video surveillance as requested by the accused, so that the police quickly clarify this.
