These charged crossovers are designed for city trips, but they pleasantly surprised with their off-road capabilities. Cars vary greatly in performance and cost.
Bloggers compared the off-road qualities of charged Skoda Kodiaq RS and Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid crossovers. Video published on YouTube channel Carwow.
Both models position themselves as sports crossovers for city trips. Now they had to show what they are capable of off-road.
Skoda Kodiaq RS is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 245 hp. and 370 Nm of torque. Its cost is 57,989 dollars.
Under the hood of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is a hybrid powertrain with a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor that produces 462 hp. and a torque of 700 Nm. The crossover costs $95,111.
The test track consists of many bumps, slopes and puddles. Crossovers need to cope with all obstacles as quickly as possible.
In the first test, the crossovers had to climb a hill. Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid was faster because it is much more powerful.
In the hill-descent test, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid didn’t perform well. The Skoda Kodiaq RS was the clear winner.
Ahead of the crossovers had to go through many more tests, after which bloggers were divided in opinion about the leader. Nevertheless, both crossovers have proven that they are capable of driving not only on the roads.
