Charge of coke washed up on beach Borssele, drug addict picked up

On Tuesday, 300 packs of coke had been washed up on Kalootstrand near Borssele. According to the Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant it is about packages of 1 kilo. The street value of the drugs is more than 15 million euros.

‘Get some fresh air’

Many people have been looking for remnants of the cargo of coke in recent days, Walcheren police reports on Facebook. That was also the case today. During a check, a man who was rambling on the beach with a companion was arrested. No washed up parcel was found in his car, but 30 ponypacks – small envelopes – containing cocaine.

The two had traveled hundreds of kilometers to ‘get some fresh air in Borssele’, they told the police.

Today, in addition to the two men, four others were checked by the police. Two of them were fined for walking through the dunes in a forbidden place, another was arrested for not being able to show a valid identity card.
