Two men have been charged with kidnapping a woman together with two 14-year-olds. One of the men was an inmate in Oslo prison during the kidnapping.
It was New Year’s Eve in 2021 that a man in his 40s approached the woman at her home in Oslo together with two 14-year-old boys and said she needed to talk to her ex-boyfriend, the indictment states.
The ex-boyfriend – a man in his 30s – was incarcerated in Oslo prison at the time.
– They respectively pointed a knife and a gas gun at her and said they would shoot and/or kill her if she did not do as they said, the indictment further states.
They then allegedly took the woman into a car, before driving away, taping her arms and legs and making her talk to her ex-boyfriend by phone several times.
– They kept her under control against her will for approx. 5 hours, until she managed to free her hands and notify the police, the indictment states.
According to the indictment, it was the ex-boyfriend of the woman who planned and gave orders to the kidnappers along the way via mobile phones that he had smuggled into the prison.
The ex-boyfriend is also accused of saying that he should share sensitive photos or videos of the woman if she did not want to have contact with him.
The prosecution warns in the indictment that they may ask for custody for the ex-boyfriend when the trial goes to the Oslo district court next week. Three days have been set aside for the case.
The defendant’s defense attorneys have not responded to NTB’s inquiries on Tuesday.
