Four episodes dedicated to the entire work of the Florentine poet through songs and curiosities that celebrate Dante and the birth of the Italian language: he proposes “Sciarada. The circle of words” on air from Monday 1 August at 9.15 pm on Rai 5. In the four appointments , some literary historians and linguists will shed light on four major thematic strands: Dante and the word, Dante and love, Dante and the world, Dante and the beyond. The first episode focuses on the figure of Dante, father of language: a journey through readings and interventions by the most authoritative scholars among the words of Dante, author – as well as of the Divine Comedy – of fundamental works such as the Convivio and the De Vulgari Eloquentia.
The readings are entrusted to the actors Pamela Villoresi, Alessio Vassallo, Lorenzo Parrotto, while the group of experts is composed of Luca Serianni, recently deceased, Giuseppe Antonelli, Valeria Della Valle, Giulio Ferroni, Giuseppe Patota. The project is sponsored by the Accademia della Crusca.
