“These include fever, bone and muscle pain, swelling filled with water or sores on the skin, lumps or enlarged lymph nodes in the armpits, neck or groin,” said Ani in her statement, Monday (23/10/2023).

“For this reason, avoid direct skin contact with the patient monkeypox “who have skin wounds or water-filled gums on their skin,” he continued.
Ani explained that people with monkey pox must undergo proper isolation until they recover completely.
Then, if people find or experience symptoms of monkey pox, they can immediately come to the nearest health facility for further laboratory examination.
“Meanwhile, people who have had close contact with positive case sufferers are expected to report immediately for early detection and treatment,” explained Ani.
Implement clean and healthy living behavior
Ani said that all people need to maintain personal hygiene by implementing clean and healthy living habits (PHBS) to prevent the spread of monkey pox.

According to Ani, the way to prevent the spread of monkey pox is to diligently wear a mask and wash your hands with soap in running water, especially if you are sick and meet sick people.
“Apart from that, we also need to maintain good reproductive health and be faithful to our partners,” he explained.
Ani added that his party did it tracing or the process of finding and monitoring parties who have close contact with monkey pox patients.
This was done to break the chain of transmission of monkey pox.
“We urge people who have close contact with monkeypox patients to be cooperative when contacted by health workers and be willing to undergo examinations at designated health facilities,” said Ani.
As a further anticipatory effort, the public can actively report health problems in their environment that require special treatment and attention from DKI Jakarta Provincial Government health officers.
