Chaotic! Referee Keblinger Twice Ends Tunisia Vs Mali

Laga 2022 Africa Cup of Nations Among Tunisia vs Mali refereed error. The court referee twice blew the final whistle before time. Whoops!

The inaugural match of the 2022 African Cup of Nations Group F brings together Tunisia vs Mali. The match was held at Stade Limbe, Cameroon, Wednesday (12/1/2022) night WIB.

Janny Sikazwe from Zambia was appointed as the referee in charge of this duel. Good Tunisia want any Mali failed to score until the first half ended.

Video Assistant Referee (VAR) asked Sikazwe to review the decision, because Toure’s violation was considered not something that endangered the opponent. Sikazwe remains adamant about his decision to expel the 20-year-old striker.

Sikazwe blundered again in the 89th minute to blow the final whistle for the second time. He ended the duel prematurely and without any injury time.

The decision angered the Tunisian stronghold. Coach The Eagles of Carthage (Tunisia’s nickname), Mondher Kebeier, approached Sikazwe in the middle of the field.

Players and staff Tunisia also attempted to ask Sikazwe for information. Security guards immediately surrounded the referee and linesman, before guiding them off the field. Game over for the win Mali 1-0.
