JAYAPURA, iNews.id – Chaos broke out during the match boxing between the DKI Jakarta contingent and East Nusa Tenggara at GOR Cenderawasih, Jayapura City, Papua, Friday (8/10/2021) evening. The fight involved DKI Jakarta boxing athlete Jil Mandagie with volunteer PB PON XX Papua 2021.
Information obtained, this commotion began when Jil Mandagie did not accept the referee’s decision to win the boxer from NTT Luki Mira Agusto Hari.
Jil then got out of the ring and slammed the door and hit the barrier banner. He was also not accepted by volunteers to do security under the ring and calm the athlete until he was emotional.
Suddenly it happened baku hantam between Jil athletes and PB PON volunteers. This resulted in the beating of the athlete.
“Because of the beating, the Jakarta athletes and their legal counsel did not accept it and reported the incident to the Papuan Police,” said a police officer at the scene, Friday (10/8/2021).
