A flight from Miami to Las Vegas ends in chaos: A couple, freshly operated on and still severely impaired, causes massive delays. The man is bleeding heavily, the woman goes live on TikTok – in the end the police intervene.
Miami/USA – A planned domestic flight from Miami to Las Vegas recently developed into a drama that the passengers on board the American Airlines flight will not soon forget. The reason: Two passengers who had undergone cosmetic surgery shortly before departure refused to leave the plane despite health complications.
Bloody incident: Concerned passengers alert crew
Eugenio Hernandez (27) and his wife Yusleydis Loyola (33) had undergone a hair transplant and liposuction plus breast lift in Miami. But instead of waiting for the necessary recovery time after the procedures, they wanted to fly back to Las Vegas immediately. In doing so, they apparently overlooked the health risks.
During boarding, several passengers noticed that Hernandez was bleeding heavily from his head. Alarmed, they informed the flight attendants. The attendants spoke to the 27-year-old and asked him to change the heavily soaked bandage. But Hernandez was unimpressed and insisted that his doctor had confirmed that he was fit to fly. He also emphasized that he had paid for his flight and was not carrying anything illegal. When the crew then demanded that the couple leave the plane, the situation escalated.
Tumult on board: Police intervene and passengers have to disembark
The couple refused to follow the crew’s instructions and stubbornly remained in their seats. The situation escalated when the police were called to get the two passengers to get off the plane. This had unpleasant consequences for the other passengers: the flight was significantly delayed and everyone present had to leave the plane.
When the police arrived, the situation escalated further. Yusleydis Loyola began broadcasting the scene live on TikTok and complained loudly about alleged discrimination. “You know I had a breast lift and liposuction. I can’t even walk,” she shouted into the camera. Her husband, who was visibly in pain, was overpowered by the police and taken away.
Legal consequences and allegations of discrimination
The couple now have to prepare for legal consequences: They face charges of trespassing and resisting law enforcement officers. Their lawyer, Michael Inglesia, defended his clients’ behavior and accused the airline of discrimination. “We believe that they were clearly discriminated against because of their appearance after a necessary medical procedure,” Inglesia said in a statement.
