The flight from Belfast International Airport to Edinburgh was delayed on Sunday afternoon after the woman refused to wear a face mask. She seemed aggressive and clearly had no intention of following the directions of the staff.

In between the many verbal abuse, the woman also threatened the cabin crew. “I hope you die,” said a video of the incident, which is widely distributed via social media. This shows, among other things, that the woman is storming down the aisle of the plane and coughing in the direction of other passengers. “Corona or not, we’re all going to die anyway,” she bites them with a Scottish accent. An enraged flight attendant is fed up. “Get out now! Go away! ”She summons her.

Airline Easyjet confirms the incident and states that the police have been warned ‘because a passenger behaved disruptively on board and refused to wear a face cover’. “The rules clearly state that this protection may only be taken off to eat or drink. Customers will be informed of this well in advance. Anyone who does not respect staff members or other passengers pays the bill. “

According to another passenger, the EasyJet staff acted excellently. “They initially helped the woman after she asked for a complete row of seats for herself. Then they politely asked her to put on a mask. The woman immediately started screaming. ” The eyewitness adds that the other passengers were relieved and happy that EasyJet was able to nip the situation in the bud so quickly.

The woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon and taken to the police station, where she would be questioned today. It is not clear whether she is still in prison and what punishment is hanging over her head.
